Hope Design Solutions CIC is a community-focused social enterprise dedicated to building a circular economy system that reduces waste, develops practical skills, and supports individuals in creating better living environments.

We specialise in the collection, restoration, and redistribution of unwanted household items, including furniture, textiles, and reusable materials — regardless of condition. Through creative up-cycling, repair, and redesign, we transform discarded goods into valuable, functional, and unique pieces.

How Our Circular System Works

Items collected through our removals, clearance, and decluttering services are carefully assessed and divided into different pathways:

Donated to partner charities supporting individuals into housing and rehabilitation
Used within hands-on workshops and community learning programmes
Restored and sold as unique, limited-edition up-cycled pieces

Our Story

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

HOPE started with two volunteers who were passionate about furniture up-cycling. They found joy in transforming furniture that no longer had a purpose into something unique and useful for little to no cost. Eager to share their knowledge and maintain the happiness it sparked within, they began up-cycling furniture for their friends and family. Their efforts were recognised by Oasis Cardiff, with whom they collaborated to host a community-driven furniture up-cycling workshop.

The workshop sessions are held weekly and draw a diverse group of participants,

The sessions offer a supportive environment for individuals to address social isolation, learn new employable skills, and enhance their overall well-being.

Since the workshop began, the need for affordable but high-quality furniture has become apparent, so at HOPE, we offer furniture packages that are specifically designed to assist families and individuals facing financial challenges during the cost-of-living crisis.
